For those of you who know the answer, is songs made entirely with apple loops fair game in Newgrounds? I mean they are allowed in terms of copyrights and sharing as long as I don't share the loops individually, but I want to be extra careful when it comes to Newgrounds

I'll post a loop-able version for the one with the most listens and the one with the most votes. So two loops.

Also I'm nearly there to free myself from homework, gimme about a few more days plz.

Just a little break while I get ahead of my homework. Then back to trying to help the community.

We're nearing the end for the album Call The Wolf! I've released what was meant to be the final track of the album (except it's not, there's 5 more tracks that was supposed to be a separate album). Should I release the remastered version of all these tracks or the original version? I haven't quite finished the last one so I don't know whether to give the remastered or the original! Which action shall I proceed with?

  1. Post the originals!
  2. Post the remasters!
  3. Post BOTH!

I decided that I should help others get approved. I could just straight up approve the artist but I know for a fact that's not a good idea. So instead I'm going to go through a lot of the undiscovered artist music and try to critique them, while following the ones that show promise to me. For those that use LMMS, I'm here to help more than those who use other software, mainly because LMMS is my DAW of choice, with FL Studio Mobile 2 coming in second (only version 2, not 3. For some reason my creativity goes down the drain when I use that version.), and Garageband being my last resort.

Oh if you see this news and you aren't approved and you make music, comment below and I'll try to help. There are some genres I just can't help you with though.

Also descriptions and short descriptions are a must.

So I noticed that posting my music early instead at 3PM is the better choice.

Now something unrelated to Newgrounds.

I'm now on 5 different music platforms. Newgrounds, SoundCloud, BandCamp, YouTube, and Musescore. The last platform I upload piano scores instead of my usual content. A little something I noticed though, is that because I listed my music as Creative Commons on Soundcloud, I've managed to see a couple channels posting my music on youtube using the tracks I uploaded on SoundCloud. The funny thing is, my own YouTube video has gotten more views than all of the other youtube videos combined.

Another thing is that finally, after two years, I realized I should post on other platforms to get recognition, since during the two years on Bandcamp I haven't gotten a single follower.

Also opinions matter! Commenting on my song will allow me to know how to alter my style to be better or something like that.

And to end this news: Check out the websites I linked on my profile. It'd be a huge help if you became a follower on those platforms too~!

I learnt two things after one test:

  • Youtube != insta-results
  • I think I got less listens when I posted the music at 3PM than at 7AM...

Maybe I'm posting the songs at the wrong time... maybe after school, like 3~4pm is a better time...

While I try that, I'm thinking of expanding to a fourth platform for my music: Youtube. I already have bandcamp and newgrounds, and recently I started Soundcloud... so maybe if I use Youtube, my music will get more recognition? I mean I'm only doing this as a hobby but I haven't made 60+ songs just for them to not be recognized.

You can read my previous news about goals and stuff if ya want.

Alright, I have 5 goals that may or may not be related to each other.

  1. Write a fun description for every track.
  2. Achieve 100 followers
  3. Get 50 listens per track
  4. Get 4+ stars for most tracks
  5. Get at least one purchase per paid album in Bandcamp

Hopefully I'll be able to achieve these someday... idk I just wanted to replace the older news with something... less bad.

Also for recommending users to the portal, I saw the link and pressed it. I wasn't supposed to self-recommend was I?
